Sierra Kuno RDN
Meet Your Dietitian
I'm Sierra, your Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Let me share a bit about myself. I grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where my early years were filled with various sports. My passion led me to play competitive soccer at Laramie County Community College, where I began to understand the profound impact nutrition had on my athletic performance and overall health. After facing an injury that left me uncertain about my future, I decided to pivot my career towards my passion for nutrition and dietetics. I pursued my education at the University of Las Vegas Nevada (UNLV), earning a bachelor's degree in Nutrition Science.
During my time at UNLV, I was deeply involved in various nutrition programs and health education initiatives. Serving as Vice President of Activities for the Student Nutrition Dietetic Association, I developed volunteer opportunities, organized nutrition events, and conducted workouts on and off campus. Following graduation, I furthered my experience through an internship at a Las Vegas hospital, where I was honored as the Outstanding Dietetic Intern of the Year by the Nevada Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Expanding my horizons, I joined a non-profit organization focused on farm-to-table nutrition education. Here, I developed and taught nutrition programs and presented live cooking classes to diverse populations throughout the Nevada community.
After earning my credential as a Registered Dietitian, I worked as a private practice dietitian in Las Vegas. Specializing in clinical nutrition, patient counseling, and dietary management. I helped individuals achieve improvements in weight, metabolic panel, and overall nutrition status. I take pride in my ability to break down complex nutrition topics and make them simple for people to understand. I am really good at looking over individuals' metabolic lab values and altering their nutrition habits to improve their overall health.
As a Registered Dietitian, I find myself to be extremely empathetic and understanding. I have a great interpersonal skill set while I try to provide the best support to my clients. I firmly believe in the individualized nature of nutrition and reject the notion of a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to educate and empower individuals and groups on the importance of nutrition, promoting disease prevention, confidence, positive change, and overall well-being.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, experimenting with new recipes, staying active through sports and outdoor exploration, traveling, and indulging in a good book.
